Ultimate is a non-contact, self-officiated team sport played with a flying disc (frisbee).

Objective: Two teams of seven players compete on a field similar in length to a football field, but narrower. Each end of the field has an end zone, which teams defend. A goal is scored when a player catches the disc in the opposing end zone.

Gameplay: The player holding the disc, known as the thrower, cannot run with it. They must pass the disc to teammates in any direction. If the offensive team fails to catch a pass, the defensive team gains possession and becomes the offensive team, aiming to score in the opposite end zone.

There are no referees; players are responsible for following and enforcing the rules, even at the World Championship level.
